THE WOLFPACK BOOSTER CLUB

Behind every successful team is a foundation of support and camaraderie.  The Desert Mountain Basketball team is no different.  The Boys Basketball Booster Club (a.k.a. “the Wolfpack”) is a non-profit organization consisting of parent volunteers to help advance the goals and success of the Desert Mountain High School boys basketball program.  We are blessed with an outstanding coaching staff and they are very appreciative of the help we have given.

Due to recent budget constraints, it has become increasingly important to have outside financial support to sustain a successful program, and provide the athletes opportunities that may not otherwise be available.  Over the past several years, the Wolfpack has made it possible to refinish the gymnasium floor, provide state of the art wall pads for improved safety during games and practices, send the teams to California and North Carolina to play against top level competition, and most recently, completely renovate the players locker room, complete with video equipment, whiteboards, new carpet, and a locker room clock synchronized with the scoreboard to maximize pre-game and halftime preparation.  None of these improvements would have been possible without a caring and active Booster Club.

In addition to membership, we have been successful in attracting numerous corporate sponsors for our home games, having an annual fundraising project, and raising money with snack bar, clothing, and Wolfpack accessory sales. 

Our goal for 2010-11 is for 100% parent membership, thereby enabling the extra fundraising efforts to be used solely for future extra-curricular projects similar to those listed above.  This will be discussed in detail during our Kickoff Meeting scheduled for November 10, 2010.
