MATT ELLIOTT

Coach Elliott enters his seventh season as the varsity assistant coach at Desert Mountain High School. Coach Elliott is in charge of post player development and is actively involved in scouting, practice, and game day coaching.


Under Coach Elliott’s tutelage, Desert Mountain’s basketball program has had six post players receive All-Region honors in three years, (Kevin Hassett, Zach Greenberg, Steven Jurich, Kyle Smith, Danny Franz, and Peter Smith).


Coach Elliott joined the Desert Mountain basketball family in the 2005-06 season with eleven years of high school coaching experience as a head and assistant coach in Arizona and Iowa. 


Coach Elliott was a 3 sport standout athlete at Fairfield

Associate Head Coach

High School in Iowa.  He lettered all 4 years in football, basketball, and baseball.  He was the captain for each sport his junior and senior seasons.


Coach Elliott enjoys coaching, golfing, and watching Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball.  He currently resides in Phoenix and teaches 6th grade in the Washington Elementary School District.
